The CAS Graduate Roundtables bring together current graduate students from different academic disciplines for an informal discussion on their research. This is an opportunity for applicants to learn more about the resources, research options, and affiliations of American University's College of Arts & Sciences. A Q&A will follow.

Roundtable participants include:

Delande Justinvil (PhD Anthropology) – Delande is a biocultural anthropologist researching Black burial grounds in the Washington, DC area. His research includes analyzing the remains from at-risk burials and advocates for their protection at both local and federal levels.

Mia Owens (MA Public History) – Mia is the inaugural fellow for the two-year Public History Graduate Fellowship in the History of Slavery and Its Legacies in Washington, DC. This year, she will be working with AU's Antiracist Research and Policy Center on The Influence of Slavery at American University.
