12:00 PM - 1:00 PM Eastern Standard Time
Location: Online

Description:

Join us as a 'student for the day' to participate in a mini-lecture examining how advocacy communication campaigns use digital strategies and techniques to raise awareness and foster change.

Associate Professor and Deputy Director of the Institute on Disability and Public Policy, Dr. Filippo Trevisan will identify the methods that advocacy organizations employ to mobilize personal stories, build community, and excite people to get involved in campaigns.

An SOC admissions representative will also be on hand to discuss your options for pursuing a graduate degree in the field of public communication at American University.

Register now! Only the first 30 students-for-a-day will receive an invitation to join via Zoom.

If you require special accommodation, please email us at gradcomm@american.edu and let us know what accommodation you require.
