Asst. Director and AU alumnus Jonathan Harper will host an online presentation of the MFA Creative Writing program at American University. This is an opportunity to learn more about opportunities in the Graduate Literature Department, curriculum, faculty, and opportunities within the Washington, DC area. Space is limited. For more than 30 years, writers have come to American University to develop their work and exchange ideas in the District's only creative writing MFA program. Our graduate workshops provide a rigorous yet supportive environment where students explore a range of approaches to the art and craft of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. Along side creative and academic pursuits, graduate students gain access to career development with DC institutions such as The National Endowment for the Arts, Pen/Faulkner Foundation, and NPR, as well as college-level teaching experience.
